Style show

We had a really neat style show this year. The theme was "Under the Sea" and Ann Johnson & Marge Rieshus were Chairman, we have a chairman for next year too, Carolyn Thomson!! She is still thinking about a theme. But really a theme is not necessary.Kay Gibson was in charge of decorating and did a bang up job! there were over 500 fish hanging from the ceiling, in all 11 windows and the stage looked like an ocean with tons of fish swimming around, now these fish have all been cut out of material, stuffed with batting and stitched shut. I am including a few pictures now until I get a slide show made
I did the brochures this year.

Monday Meeting February 8th

We had a fairly short meeting this morning.
One thing was voted on...A bun server for the kitchen, I understand it is about 6 feet tall by 26" around. It will be great for loading up desserts on the many shelves and can be wheeled anywhere. It will free up our counters also. It will be an asset to the kitchen.
Our assistant mgr.Clara gave the mgr. report today as the Bardon's are back in Iowa helping to get their daughter squared away on some issues she's been having. They hope to get home by next Monday.
Joyce Amos sent cards to Cookie Shackelford and Jack and Connie Bardon. I just saw that there's a new card to sign for Bobby Thomas who is sick.
The Olympics are taking place this week. the bean feed is this coming Wednesday, they're looking for over 300 people for that! And the craft show this coming Friday. Our yearly Birthday and Anniversary Party will be Sunday the 14th
Honorees

Monday Meeting

I did not go to the Monday meeting this morning. I have had a cold and even though it's better, I thought a few more days away from folks would be best, don't want to spread any germs, as I still have a cough.
The new chair, for the next 2 months is Rita Sutherland. I don't think I have had the pleasure of meeting her yet. Our mgr. said our rent is going up $5.00 a month for mobiles and next season r.v. rates are going up also.
Joyce Amos is doing cards in Irene's place as she had knee replacement surgery. She sent cards to Dorothy Bryant, hand surgery, Henrietta Johnson, headaches, Brian barksdale, tests, Al & Dolores Mason's son is ill and they went to be with him in Kansas.
We had omelets in a bag Saturday morning, they served 200. They were very good! Dave Printy did a great job and this coming month the Canadians are in charge of the Sat. morning breakfasts.
