Weather

http:www.krgv.comhttp:www.krgv.com

Click here to see our local weather. We have not received any measurable rain here in Weslaco area.
It seems so strange that only a few hours from here they are getting such devastating weather.
We are so fortunate.

Rainy Friday

Everyone has heard about the Hurricane coming in near Corpus Christi, we are some what affected but mostly just needed rain, of course here in the Valley some places always flood. Not worried at all for our Park. You can read about it by going to KRGV weather and read all about it. I feel sorry for those in the path of this storm, there will be many people flooded out and much damage and of course some idiots will think they do not need to leave and will have to be rescued.

Nancy and Denny Argo supplied the donuts this morning. We have a card for Juanita Fisher, back surgery up for us to sign.

We have something new added in the Lobby. It looks a little large in there but we will get used to it. It's short wall where 3 computers will sit on a long desk with computers facing the Veterans Wall instead of facing the other way, it will be more private for those using those computers. the wall is only about 4 ft. tall. I will have a picture for ya next week when it's more complete

That's it for now!!!

Friday August 11th

It doesn't seem possible that school is about to start! The Summer is going by fast.
We got a beautiful rain yesterday. It really came down hard and then for awhile a nice gentle rain. The poor fruit trees were really needing it, and the lawns were getting brown.
In the breezway in the park by the ice machine rainwater always collects a lot, plumbers have been working there and putting in new drain pipes, so it's pretty torn up right now but it will be sure be nice and we won't have to wade to the bathrooms when we get a heavy rain LOL

The campout going on this week...haven't heard much or gotten any pictures yet, I did hear that there wasn't the turnout that has come in prior years. I think some people like us aren't r.v.ing it any more.
We sure enjoyied the lovely weather when we were in Iowa this Summer. Hope they have good weather for the campout.
Al and Dolores Mason provided donuts this morning. We had fun last night at Happy Hour, after everyone got there we called Dominos Pizza and had some really good pizza. It was something different to do. I found out this morning Red Floyd spiked a high temperature, went to a night clinic, I think, he got a shot and was sent home

We have a few cards up to sign. one is to Gary Lungren, eye surgery, and one to Rita Sandavol#301 she had gall bladder surgery

August 4th

Agnes Messner sent me some photos of some of our R.V.E.ers getting together, she also said the McAuleys came for a short visit also

I wished more people would send me pictures . Everyone loves to hear what you all are up to!!!!

I had to put this picture in, so sweet!! Patti takes great care of Harris

It's a busy time here getting ready for the return of the Winter Texans! I see they have done some sodding near the new golf cart parking and painting the bright yellow curbs and parking lines. And always mowing daily.

Not much to report from here, the campout at Clermont starts Sunday. Most folks come Monday. Usualy lots of day trips especially for the ladies, shopping in Lansing is always fun.Gene Maurer and Carolyn Thomsen are having the whole bunch over for Happy Hour and hot dogs and Tom will do his special B.B.Q.ing on Friday with special music later. and always a potluck every evening, a campfire in the evenings. We miss going to this!!
