 Time is going fast until all the winter folks will be returning. 

A note from Gil, one of our lawnmower guys

Gil is going to charge everyone $30.00 a month for lawnmowing starting in October.

We have 2 new air-condioners for the big hall.

I have had to bring my own tape player for aqua sizing, which i do only occasionally. The one player quit completely and also the tapes are bad. 

We need rain sooo bad also heat of 100 for over 55 days or more, grass is like shredded wheat! 

I got donuts this morning, very few coming up.

July 30th

 I was in the pool the other day but had trouble .....the steps going in and the bottom of the pool was pretty slippery, hoping the slippiness goes away.  So I got some really good pool shoes on Amazon, they have a good amount of ridges on the soles so when I went today I had no trouble.  The folks that had just gotten out of the pool warned me that it was slick but I already knew that the lady said she slipped and fell and went under the water. April fell twice, also D.A. and April said there's a sharp place  on the bottom it's like a sharp ridge and could cut a foot, I found it today and when you stand in the pool straight out from the clock and straight out from the North hand rail at that point there's a sharp something that eveidently got painted over. Pool shoes is the answer, there's no way I could do the aqua sizes until I got the pool shoes. 

I wished they would have brought in professional pool painters. The 2 parks I have been in have a gritty bottom and both were resurfaced last year. No way can you slip as the pool and hot tub they have that gritty paint on them. Oh also Ranchero has a nice surfaced pool but I heard we arent supposed to go over there, (because of liability)  lol  funny how in the past we could go over there for anything and remembering a group of ladies coming over to our pool from Ranchero when they had pool problems. I have been going to two Encore parks for aqua sizes and since getting acquainted with the ladies over there have been going out with the park for dinner once a week and ice cream Sundays on Sat. And have been invited to the ladies day out once a week and "Tic" after or what they call "65" at the other park also. It's hard to even get a table of 4 for tic and dominoes here.

Invest in a good pool shoe and you won't have any trouble. 

JULY 25TH.

 Our pool is now ready!! I will have to start aqua sizes, I have been going over to a friends park "Trails End"and aquasizing with the ladies over there. Plus was invited to there Banana Splits Sat. late afternoon and played cards with them after,  they also include me, if I wish to go, in their once a week dinner out, like going to Arturos, Kauns, Cortinos, Nanas, El Rancho, and Mr Ghatties.Some of the places they have been out to eat at. 

Notice the clouds in the picture, no rain yet tho. Maybe Friday or Saturday we will luck out and get some much needed rain. The best chances right now.

July 6th

 We had a great turnout for our July 4th hot dog  and brat dinner. We all brought a dish and everything was so good! I was surprised to see Gordon and Joyce Amos there, Gordon having dental work. But only here a very few days.

We are getting rain today!!!! much needed it's been a long dry spell. 

Dan and our maintenance men working hard on the pool, so hot for them, they mostly work mornings on it.

July 3rd

  Happy 4th of July!!

 Well, we will have brats and hotdogs in the hall tomorrow to celebrate the 4th! We bring a dish to share also.

Last Friday we celebrated  Mgr. Jans Birthday, her Asst, Reggi, brought patriotic cupcakes! Nice crowd attended

The guys are hard at work on our pool.  Working mornings before it gets too hot.

I love the new color of the pool.It's really going to be nice, and I'm sure we will love the end results.

Our new Hobby Lobby is really nice. Saves me trips to Harlingen 😁

June 17th

 My Birthday today....Breakfast out and just staying in where it's cool

I have been making some doilies, keeps my hands busy and too hot to go outside. 105 and 100's all week

The work has started on our pool, I bet it will take a long time before we can use it

June 6th

 

We will now have white buildings trimmed in red!  Very nice, Dans Son, Daniel keeps busy all the time. He's doing the painting himself, atleast so far anyway. He even painted our Soldier and cross the other day

getting hot down here now that the spotty storms have pretty much ended. 100 this weekend

The palm were trimmed way to early and now all the seed pods are coming on and will drop seeds everywhere, when they get dry they are like little B B's a man fell walking on them one time. Up at the shopping center they had there's trimmed leaving just 4 or so palm leaves and will have no trouble but these people who do ours leave many palm leaves and soon they look all ugly again

My hoya plants look awful, their leaves are sure yellowed with only some nice green leaves, even tho they are putting on the most beautiful flowers
