Update. On Anita Farley, from talking to her boys, and receiving this message.. sent to me by Steve, her oldest Son, "She is doing better they are allowing her to be awake and to sleep without all the drugs that were given to make her sleep The drug to fight the infection is beginning to work. She is tired from the fight. They are planning to remove the breathing tube in a couple of days. The are adding a new anti fungal drug to the mix. The doctor was able to get some more infection out of her bad lung."
Also they unplugged the ventilator and so far breathing on her own, but waiting to see how she does before removing it.
Also, the Family is together, Anita's boys are all here! 4 of them! All her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren have called her and skyped her!
I received word that Evelyn Kepler passed away. They were both in a Nursing Facility.

Bert
Daquay
from Victoria Palms Park spoke about their First Responders group, on
call 24/7 & trained to use defibrillator & CPR. Good
Samaritan Law in TX protects. Defibrillator cost was $4000, beepers
costing $50/month. There are call boxes in park. Their equipment
was purchased through fund raising activities.

Following
is a short
synopsis of info given by Willie
Martinez
of the Lower RGV Development Council concerning “911” calls
answered by Weslaco Police Dept. There are 3 ways of sending calls
(1) voice call from land line phone, (2) cell phone, (3) Voice
Internet Protocol (VOIP). In all cases, you should STAY ON LINE&
DO NOT HANG UP until they get the signal. “911” uses “relative
location” which is WHERE you are at the moment. He stated land
lines work best but since most of us do not have them, the cell phone
signal should get you “911”. VOIP would be phones based on the
internet such as Magic Jack, Time Warner, etc. “911” operators
are trained to take calls so LISTEN & be an active participant in
the conversation.
