Weslaco Flood Rescue

Thursday June 21st
The big news in Weslaco.....We actually received over 13 inches of rain in 36 hours. Our parks streets were flooded over curbs but only the North side where the ground is a little lower had water over the curbs for several hours. The other drains seemed to do a good job getting rid of all the water. Waste deep water and more was at Pike and Westgate, and at Texas and the Expressway  a lot of flooding . Many saw pictures on facebook. We were to get hit again this afternoon, McAllen really got a huge amount this morning and it was heading in our direction, lots of thunder and very black skies, but it stayed just to the North of us this time. I was wanting to run to HEB for bread and milk but it looked so bad for several hours, I kept thinking I would get caught in rain forsure, but it didn't happen, do I finally went to the store.
