Foontastic.com - Orkut Scraps Codes
Carmen Bernier and her Mom Doris furnished donuts this morning.
Well, it seems we were pretty darn lucky we didnt get huge amounts of rain. We did get a very good rain but not like McAllen/ Edinburgh got. There was so much more flooding again. Even Harlingen got some big rains that we did not get. We had just enough!!! Now we are having fairly nice weather.
the lawn care people working like crazy to catch up, but doing a good job of it. Also our maintenance men hard at work, I could not believe how fast the grass has been growing from all the rain.
I was talking with Nathan yesterday morning. Just mentioned we came up for early morning coffee and no one was here. I tried the new code for the door to the card room but it didnt work for me, so we went outside and I tried it again while Nathan was standing there and it worked. New for us...anyone with the code can come into the card room at any hour....day or night, the double doors to the lobby will remain locked until 6:30. So early morning coffee drinkers will be in the card room. Oh, another change will be the pkg. pick up. If you have a pkg. that comes in they will be put in the card room on a table in the back on the North end. This will start Oct. 15th. I think I mentioned before the air con is set to run continually day and night. No turning it on or off and no timers.
If you would like a new R.V.E. t-shirt, the new price will be $5.00 not $6.00 as I had previously said.
they come in lots of pretty colors.
We had a nice Social Hour last night, the new Assistant managers came. We celebrated Doris's 93rd birthday, (Carmen Berniers Mother) with cake and icecream. A big thank you to Carmen.
There are two cards up to sign...one for Farrell Sirovy, his Father passed away and a card for Mary Lou Benson's Daughter who was recently dianosed with breast cancer
Obituary for Josie Miller, former Winter resident of our park. I think the last year they were here was in 2010.
Josie Miller, 84, of Breckenridge, MN, passed away Tuesday, Sept 18, 2018, at Pioneer Cottages in Breckenridge.
The funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at Breckenridge Lutheran Church with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Mark Manning will officiate and the burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Breckenridge.
Josephine Marion Andel, affectionately known as "Josie", was born in Neilson Township (rural Breckenridge), MN on Oct 7, 1933,to Andrew and Elizabeth Andel. She attended school in Breckenridge and on Nov 4, 1949, she was united in marriage to Robert L. Miller at Breckenridge Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in the Kent, MN area until 1993 when they moved to Breckenridge.
Josie taught Sunday School at Breckenridge Lutheran Church where she was a member for many years. She also belonged to the Sarah Circle and spent many hours volunteering for the Kent Senior citizens, St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary and the Wahpeton Carousel. She cherished her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports throughout their high school and college careers. Josie was a fan of the local softball teams, cheering on the Breckenridge Cowboys and Cowgirls (she was active in the Touchdown Club), and she rarely missed a Minnesota Twins baseball game. When she wasn't attending a sporting event, Josie could be found working on sewing or putting together new craft projects. Josie and Bob enjoyed traveling and they spent 15 winter in Texas. Se carried a creative, energetic, and humorous personality that will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
