News

There's quite a bunch of folks left already, especially from the R.V. section. But I can understand that as being in an R.V. for 4 or more months would be hard and the Winter we had would make it worse.
The meeting Monday... well, I guess a majority of the people would like to see the state flags back up, but it's my understanding many of them are not in good shape, most very dirty and some not in good shape, also there were folks saying the flags should be strictly state flags of the same size and not odd sizes. There was a smaller group there since so many have left and still there was a vote on this?
Our mgr. reminded people to sign out before they leave, there's always mail that comes in etc. and also to let them know who will be doing their lawn this summer.
Rachel Hamilton thanked all who attended Sunday icecream, she provided cake, she has sold her mobile home, she lives in Maine for those of you who don't know her.
we will miss her!
Irene sent cards to Bobby Thomas, surgery,June Childs, problems with blood pressure, Don Rush, gall bladder surgery. We hope any of our Rio Valley Estates people will let us know if a card is needed this summer. So whoever is here to do the cards will put one up in the lobby to sign. And also I can let all know through this blog of illnesses and deaths.
Darlene Bryant will be our Chairperson for April and November with Art Voss Vice Chair.
April 4th we will have Easter Dinner, Ham will be provided.
April 17th there will be a wedding in the Hall, Clement-Nelson
April 24th will be an invitation only combined Birthday Party for Husband Bobby, Aloyce Berglund, and Jan Philipp.
Well...I finally went on my first Ropa expedition...you can have it...!!!!!
Not for me. Yuck!

Our Maiden voyage on the "Three Amigos" boat

What a wild ride we had. I sat way in the front with my hood pulled around my head and freezing to death and the ride was rough! but when we finally slowed down it was fairly nice. We saw so much in such a short time. so many birds and geese, Cranes, Nailgey (a deer like animal witha kind of horselike head), also a Coyote running along the shore and pink Flamingos (a huge bunch of them) Dolphins coming up to the surface. We want to go back again and take more pictures and sight see when it's warmer. It was in the 60's but felt much colder out in the boat.
