Quite a good turnout for coffee and donuts this morning.  Bill and Velda Lee Clements provided them.
We are getting our new lobby furniture in as I type this.
Hurry back and have a safe trip down.

Just to show you all we put some 8 ft. tables end to end for our regular Friday coffee and donuts and use the big hall for dinners, or parties!

Just a note

Rain rain rain

We can sure use it but enough already!
We have gotten over 2 inches probably closer to 3. and we still are to get some scattered storms today and tomarrow. the lawns are getting pretty shaggy, very hard to keep up.

Last Friday Colleen Clark provided the donuts for us. Not much talked about except if we were going to have a little get-to-gether on Labor Day. We decided to have a potluck. Also Mgr. Helen said the carpets were going to be cleaned Wednesday in the lobby and pool room.
I sent cards to Harris shellito, new knee, Mary Norby had some knee surgery for problems with her knee she had replaced, also a card for Evelyn McBurney her husband Warren passed away
Some folks will be coming in this next month, it's just as hot up North right now as down here, I saw that some schools in Iowa let classes out early because of the heat. But it won't last long, Falls just around the corner! I miss the beautiful Fall foliage!

They were big water tanks with charcoal in the bottom and screens to set the halves of chicken on. Marc Frano came from Charles City to play music for us. I will get some pictures on a slide show later and Mary Lou and Judy D. took quite a few pictures.

Early Monday morning it rained and rained and rained. but by noon it was pretty well out of here. I think a shower or so this afternoon but after that  it should be perfect weather this year for the Campout.

Friday August 2nd

We arrived in Albert Lea Minn. today. The weather is so nice. Cool for this time of year. There sure are alot of fields here that are bare, as they had so much rain they couldn't get the crops in. I didn't notice any bare fields South of here in Iowa. We stayed in Spencer, IA Wed. night, and then last night, Emmetsberg,IA. and there was a very light shower but they could really use a good rain.
We will travel on over to Clermont Sun. We are in a real nice KOA outside of Albert Lea, and my Sister, Mickey, who spent a few months at our park, has a cabin rented here at the KOA for the time we will be here. We just had a great meal at her Daughters house in Albert Lea.

Talked to Sue Barnhart and she said this morning at the park, Al Mason furnished the donuts only about 15 there. Sam and Helen flew out today, their Son is retiring from the Air Force.

Sue said the trees around the pool were trimmed.

Donna Passage on lot 5 is out of re-hab and will be leaving the park. She was in the hospital with heart problems. She is going back to Michigan.

I am going to buy some" Kandy Corn" sweet corn tomarrow and hope to freeze some and take home.
That's a popular type of sweet corn that's really good. Can't wait to have a real tomato, and some Ill. peaches!!!!!!!!!!!! at the Campout.
