Friday Oct. 26th

Rain rain go away!!!!!!!!!
Another rainy  morning, if it wasn't raining it was misting, and very overcast for the last week and a half!!!  It is a little warmer and supposed to see the sun this afternoon, and the weatherman was right it's finally a Sunny day, just beautiful.

Not a whole lot of news for you, folks coming in about ever day now.
We are having a Halloween Party, Fred playing.  So bring your costume! It's from 6:30 to 9:30
Phyllis Mosbey  went in to the Hospital. I think they're doing tests.I know she had trouble walking.

There's a "good feel", "happy feel" in the park everyone anxiously waiting for all the activities to begin. We are all extremely excited about our new Mgrs. Craig and Dana and also Asstitant, Jan O'dell, they will really be assets to the park, which they already were, but in a new way. All of us are thrilled to death!!!! Ken Barnhart still selling mobiles, I think he's found his "niche" lol

The Double Cross BBQ has been opened about a year now, we went there today for lunch, they have a lunch special every day. We really enjoyied it.
It's located at 2413 E. 18th St.

I don't know if I mentioned this before but Son-in-law Bob Hostetter # 96 does an amazing job detailing and cleaning golf carts, they look like new when he gets done with them, see him if you want a really nice looking cart.

I have 8 folks who need to pick up their park pictorial albums, I have them for them plus a few more extra ones. some asked if they could buy an extra one to keep down here and one for up home. They were $15.00 at the time of the photo taking but I will sell them for $10.00, 1st come 1st serve!

I am going to be doing the newsletter...just thought I'd warn ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mary Lou wishes to be there for Stacy as she goes thru her chemo and conquers her breast cancer.

October 19th

I went by George and Phyliss's mobile the other day, (they are the folks who moved their mobile from Magnolia to our park) and their cat was laying asleep on the bird bath, I had to go home and get my phone and get a picture of the cat. George said he likes to get up there especially if another cat is around. He sleeps there a lot, I guess he feels safe.

I know this is sounding strange but we have new Mgrs. again. Craig and Dana Daves.
Jan O'Dell is helping in the office, also. there is definetly a "Good Feel" here in the park once again. Looking forward to a great Winter Season! oh, ya we're very happy!!!!

Our weather has been just awful, cloudy dreary, misty, rainy, just plain crappy. We went from 91 one day to 50's the next day. and mid 50's to mid 60's most all this week. Wind is quite sharp also. More rain for the weekend. but it won't last much longer. Snow already up North. my Son said it looked like several inches in Iowa. they're trying to get the crops out and have had lots of rain.

Rexroads furnished donuts this week, I thought they furnished them last week but I guess Rex just gave John Norris a ride over to HEB  for them last Friday. More folks coming in almost daily.

I talked to Dean Eshelman, Ken's Son,  he said he would rent the mobile at 256, he was here getting it ready. Rentals are pretty hard to find.

We have some cards we are signing:

A card to Mary Lou and Tom Benson on the loss of their son-in-law. A card to Bonnie Hickey on the loss of her Mother, a card to Betty Aderton on the loss of her husband Harell.

If you want a badge with the new logo, let me know, I have a lot of pin backs and some you can use a lanyard with.

Friday Oct. 12th

This was on Facebook, As you all know we are all thinking of Stacy! As she goes thru her chemo treatments, she is Mary Lou Benson's Daughter.
October is Breast Cancer awareness month

Well, I really don't know what to tell ya...................The mgrs. Tricia and Ron were fired as I understand............but........they're still here, in the office.. go figure. Hopefully we will get some new ones soon.

We are still having hot weather. It's supposed to be Fall but doesn't feel like it.
Bobby and I are getting some pecans falling from our tree, which is always in Oct. - Nov. when it's typically starting to get cool.  A cold front is to come in Monday evening and the highs in the upper 60's, what a change that will be

So Summer like temps all week with Winter like temps coming Monday, with cold blowing winds,
don't know how long it will last.

The flea market is now open. I went last Sat. and there wasn't many there and quite a few of the venders had not set up yet. Tomarrow there should be more venders and more folks going to buy!

The palm trees are finally getting trimmed....a picture of the park, kind of cloudy but it turned out pretty good

Our hot tub is being painted, they are hoping the special coating will last.

Starting soon Yoga classes on Mon. Wed. and  Fri. There's 4 or 5 gals doing the aqua sizes each morning. Tic has been going on nightly , 2 tables  of  6, and a table of 5 last night after  our Happy Hour. Next Wednesday we celebrate a bunch of Birthdays and Anniversaries in October with hot dogs provided and we will bring a dish to share, Fred Goldsberry will play music for us.

Jim and Darlene Ales Son, Mike passed away. I don't have an obituary yet, but will post it if I receive one.
Darlene Bryant doing very well after having a pace maker put in.
There was no one down to provide donuts this morning so Del Telfor went to get some, with a few chipping in.
