Quilters

don't go!

Don't leave the Valley yet folks, just heard there are tornado warnings in Iowa and also there was one yesterday I think that touched down.
Most of you were probably at the Mon. morning meeting, was so glad to hear Jerry Maxwell say there would be Western Days next year. Several activities have come to a hault, crafts, dances, the last pizza party is this coming Wed.
Bobby and I turned in $830.00 to the Club fund for folks who sold ads for the back of our photo album, don't forget now to take a look in the back of your albums when you need a service and wonder who to call. The ones in our new album are some of the ones from the last album too. The last pictures should be back in about 3 weeks if anyone needs theirs sent to them back home, I will be glad to do that.
I took a picture for the album of the quilters, Mon. morning, sure wished Jan Preister was in it too, I am going to post it.

Red Hatters

We had our Red Hat Luncheon today with 52 attending. The Minn. group. Aloyce emceed, with Ann Johnson, Marge Reishus, Nancy Argo, and Shirley Stenscrud. Aloyce told about some of the earlier get-to-gethers we have had, and the next one will be in Jan.However any time someone wants to get a group up and go on an outing or what ever
this would be great. The salads were very very delicious!Brock Laing entertained us with some cute jokes and sang for us. He made up a really neat song about the Red Hats.He also said that his wife Adrianne and he have bought a park model, the Cooks unit, so they will be returning to our park next year! What a great asset they will be.This Summer he said they would be touring eastern Canada with a group and entertaing.I was saddened to think that the Cooks have said that they would not be coming next season. Her Cancer is back and she's taking chemo again.
Well, that's all folks!

Meeting

Well, things are starting to wind down. Charlotte said no more jams or Friday entertainment, she did a wonderful job this year. We will have potluck for Easter so I will make a sign-up sheet for that.

A St. Patty's Day Joke
Paddy was driving down the street in a sweat because he had an important meeting and couldn't find a parking place. Looking up to Heaven he said,'Lord take pity on me. If you find me a parking place I will go to Mass every Sunday for the rest of my life and give up Irish Whiskey!"

Miraculously, a parking spot appeared.

Paddy looked up again and said,"Never mind, I just found One."

just a note

It has been very windy this first week of March. But I guess that's normal for this time of year. I have been trying to get pictures of activities for the pictorial album, it is really hard, always getting backs of folks or the lighting is bad etc. Sure wished some would submit some good ones that they have taken. I need some from the style show.
We have a Tea Cup exchange party coming up, a stew feed, and a Red Hat luncheon, an Easter Egg Hunt? ( can you imagine that?)a very busy month ahead

blog spot

To all of you who might be interested in receiving news from me this Summer. I will try to keep you informed of the goings on here in the park. I hope to post some pictures, tell about our get-to-gethers and maybe post some of our card game scores as we do still play some of the card games. I will tell of some other Valley events. You may wish to log on weekly or so. I will also post any deaths or illnesses that I hear about. You may email or call me of news you think I may want to post on this blog also.
