October 27th

John and Dale Norris provided our donuts this morning!


We usually have a week where no one has signed up to bring them so we skip the Friday donuts, and of course at our Mon. meetings we will most likely have donuts and coffee for everyone.

Our cards up are to Carol Jones, she has been in the hosp. and will come home soon, infection I think, also Judy Nordquist had knee surgery, and Jan Philipp surgery on the hand she broke.

We have been having lovely Fall weather lows in the 60's highs in the 80's, but we are to get a cold front coming in around noon today and morning temps could be in the upper 40's for Sat. and Sun.

More and more folks arriving.

A Halloween Party coming up.

Not much news around town. We do have a B.B.Q. restaurant coming soon, and as I said before a similar to subway place being built.

Oct. 20th

Our last coffee and donuts Friday morning get-to-gether ended last Friday 😒 and this Friday the office got the donuts. We have moved the long tables from the pool room back to the big hall. Wed. We had our social hour in the big hall also.

We have several cards up,  one to Tom and Mary Lou Benson, Tom's Sister Verla, age 85 passed away Oct. 15th and the services were held this morning at 10:30 at the Methodist church in West Union , Iowa. for all of us who have attended the camp outs in Iowa, we  remember her, she would come out to the campout usually with her sister Bev Clancy, whom we also made a card for, Bev has been coming to our park off and on for quite a few years and last year stayed in Jan Philipp's mobile and she will be back this winter. Also we put a card up for Jan Philipp who broke her hand.

Friday the 13th

Daughter Debbie and Son-in-law Bob provided the donuts this morning.
We have really had the rain here. It's about enough all ready! farmers needing to get in the field pretty soon to plant those Onion seeds and also all the rain hinders the picking of the fruit.

Several folks coming in almost daily. It's good to see everyone!

Oct. 6th

Hello everyone! And Happy Fall!  I hope it's cool where you all live, it's not cool here yet!
but we did get away for 3 days to Wendover, Nevada. Lows in the 30's  highs around 60! Had a great time, good eats, beautiful room, and a fun flight from Harlingen. We actually land in Utah but cross over into Nevada on the way to our Motel. One of the Motels, (Casino) the Nugget is directly across from another Motel called the Monteray Bay Casino. there's a walkway over the highway between the two and you can see the State line from the walkway


Nancy and Denny Argo furnished donuts this morning.
They're still working on our lobby, can't wait to see it finished, it's going to be really nice.
