Or whether the weather is hot
We'll whether the weather
Whatever the weather
Whether we like it or not!
And it is "cold" this morning!!! Lows in the 30's. All week will be on the cool side.
But you know a cold spell will make our grapefruit so much sweeter! So a grower told us when we purchased fruit at their orchard a while back.
A little run down of last weeks news....

This Monday there wasn't a whole lot discussed, nothing mentioned about whether we can BYOB at different events. Talk about the ice machine, someone tampering with the timer on the gate, a couple other things. The "Committee" thinks we shouldn't pay for the newspaper all year around......geesh......the cost is a hundred and some for the year. So I guess there will be a paper only for 3 months out of the year.
Table set up for Cancer drive selling raffle tickets T-shirts etc. and Veteranbs dinner tickets being sold.

Taking a little break from doing the blog
Lots of people here now and if they come to the meetings I should not need to inform the folks about what's going on here.

Notes from last newsletter
As most of you know we have been on a trip to Vegas and on the 5th we were in sleet then snow, (blizzard) then it would clear up and then back again with very high winds. When we got to Flagstaff,Arizona all this bad weather had been there the day before, and around every curve was a beautiful site.

November 6th
This is a picture I took in West texas as we were driving along, see the huge pile of cotton seed, Bob High? He had told Bobby had never seen it before, and did you know Cotton seed oil is used in many things we consume? Salas dressings, margarine, sauces,& cooking oil.
We stayed a night in Bandera and met Bob,at Skyline Ranch R.V. park, a friend of Mial Stensland,Bob had alot of nice things to say about Mial! Mial recomended we stay there, very nice and lots of deer roaming the campground as soon as it starts getting dark...in fact they left 3 big piles of Poop within 10 feet of our unit. lol. There are huge Longhorn cattle there also.
We stayed two nights at Goodfellow Air force Base campground. The host there was a good friend of Clyde and Linda Polermo.
There isn't a whole lot to see around San Angelo, besides cotton fields, some were not picked yet and we watched the cotton being picked. Oh, and oil derricks pumping away in the middle of some of the cotton fields! Also gas wells.
The scenery changes quickly in New Mexico, so does the temperature, we were in a blizzard like storm today and freezing rain. The wind blew over 40 mpr.
Here are a few pictures I took today, this was the way the sky looked and when we got closer it would rain then turn to snow, but after so long we would drive out of it and it would be sunny, but the winds never died down.
These pictures I took in Western New Mexico and right at the Arizona border.
You all have probably been through this area along I-40, I love the different rock formations and wonder how they ever were formed, from glaciers as understand it.
Well, I haven't had a chance to write anything as we are on a little trip.
I will say the Halloween Party was a huge success. Over 120 attended and everyone stayed around to dance and listen to Fred's music. The decorations were awesome, and lots of goodies to eat. Bobby won 1st place with his Breathalyzer costume. which took him quite awhile to make.I have to apologize to several of you, when I did the smilebox slideshow, I couln't remember who wore what.Rita Sutherland and hubby were two of them.sorry Rita!
Social Hour was in the big hall this time as the crowd is getting big now.
Duffy's provided the donuts this last Friday.
