Monday March 7th

I didnt attend the meeting today so am just writing up what I have been reading in the news letter. Rex Rexroad called our meeting to order and Sandy Novak gave the invovation.
Our manager Connie stated that there are lots of complaints and grumbling this season, she asked that complaints go to the committee, she is alone in the office right now as Lillian is with Loren who had surgery on his knee. They are now closing at lunch time for an hour for the rest of the season.
A Jam scheduled for Thursday and pulled pork sandwiches will be served. Brock thanked everyone for supporting the Friday night entertainment. RVE Talent night is this Friday, that should be fun, I bet there's lots of talent here in the park that we will learn about this Friday!!
Irene sent cards to Marie Slycord, still in the hosp. Al Farless, leaving going to VA hosp. on Ok. Also to Virginia Ward on the death of her husband Ralph, former residents. I will be handling the cards for a couple weeks for Irene so just give me a call if you know of someone needing a card. My no. is in the book, the cell no. has an extra 1 on the end of it but otherwise the no. is correct.
Congratulations to Ken and Cheryl who got married this week.
The Ropa style show is tomarrow Mar.8th, Talent show is the 10th and the big 50's Sock Hop is the 15th, Irish stew on the 17th, so lots going on this month.
An election of one person for the Finance and one for property's will be held next Mon.
Jan Philipp said we are having a Cancer Walk next year, with a soup supper to follow, money raised will stay in the Valley.
Bev brought up the fact that our Bingo bopard is obsolete and the property's committee will look into the cost of replacement. I attended this week and the crowds are really big now and there's a horse race or 2 or 3 or 4 lol, we had 4 races last Sat. I think 4 lucky people each got $15.00, the bingos were $10.00 each, at the break there was 12 draws for $5.00 each. Popcorn and pop for sale and icecream novelties at the break
