Properties report was by Ron Zoeller. Kitchen detail measurements have been doneas and; Ron should receive verification this week. Work may even begin shortly after Easter and; could possibly be completed by May. 100 chair tips have been purchased for any chairs that have tips wearing through. These may be put on if someone wants a little something to do this Summer

Election was held this morning for Chair and Vice Chair to serve April and November. Elected were Rita Sutherland as Chair, and Darlene Bryant as Vice Chair
Dances are over til next season. The first one will be Jan. 4, 2016 featuring Hitman. Barnharts & Cochrans have been added to dance committee.
Donna Perkins does greeting cards until end of April. Sign these in office area. Her phone number is 817-371-9730. If you know of someone needing a card due to illness or death of family member, contact her. No cards reported this week.
Come to Easter Dinner in Friendship Hall. Ken and; Sue Barnhart are chairing. Ken asked those attending to give committee 1-1 ½ hours after the 8:30-9:30 a.m. church services to set up tables. He reported 155 people signed up. Sue reminded ladies to wear Easter bonnets!
Today's meeting was short & sweet, thanks to chair Judy Nordquist! We'll still have one more meeting next Monday & also a newsletter. If you want ANYTHING printed concerning summer or next season activities, get notes to editor at #103!
How about this thought for the day ??
Brains of older people are slow because they know so much. People do not decline mentally with age. It just takes them longer to recall facts because they have more information in their brains, scientists believe. Much like a computer struggles as the hard drive gets full, so, too, do humans take longer to access information. The human brain works slower in old age, said Dr. Michael Ramscar, but only because we have stored more information over time. The brains of older people do not get weak. On the contrary, they simply know more. Also, older people often go to another room to get something and when they get there, they stand there wondering what they came for. It is NOT a memory problem. It is nature's way of making older people do more exercise. SO THERE !!!

Please note there is a sign up sheet in Friendship Hall for those who will be celebrating special Anniversaries next season (March 1, 2015 to March 1, 2016).

LOOKING AHEAD ..
A barbecue grill will be built this summer with Ken Barnhart working on plans. This will hold all the steaks, chicken, chops, ribs, brisket, whatever you could ever want to grill! Park owner is paying for most of this.
Judi DeKoning & Marlene Prohaska have announced they will chair a STEW FEED next season .. on Jan. 12. Due to spring break it will not be held on St. Patrick's Day as in previous years. “Nationality Day” will be the theme so be thinking about how you wish to show your nationality/heritage.
Thanks to Rita Sutherland who has taken charge of scheduling dates for the Wellness & Integra programs. A rep will join us at Jan. 4 meeting to talk to us about the Wellness blood draws which will be done 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 8. The Wellness blood draws require that you fast. The rep returns Jan. 27, 1:30 p.m. to discuss test results.
Integra (stroke prevention) rep will talk to us on Feb. 19 about their tests with that test to be done Feb. 22. If I have any of these dates incorrect, Rita, let me know!
How about summer activities up north? Editor will
print dates on these if she receives info on them ..

What is a Dog? (contributed by a park friend) ..
Dogs lie around all day, sprawled on the most
comfortable piece of furniture in the house.
They can hear a package of food opening half a block away, but don't hear you when you're in the same room.
They can look dumb & lovable all at the same time.
They growl when they are not happy.
When you want to play, they want to play.
