February 29th
This month has flown by. At the meeting this morning there were several people that raised their hands that they were leaving for home. I know quite a few going tomarrow and in the next few days.

Tonights the final dance, after tonight those who chair an activity will need to sweep the floor.
also a motion was made to buy a new can opener and it was approved $500.00, yikes!
A.J. Garcia Purple Heart rep. accepted a check from the Veteran's dinner for $1,791
Election for new board members will take place next Monday.
Brock said the final Friday entertainment will be this week, we all voted to give Adrian and Brock a small check in appreciation of all they do.

Helen has cards up to sign for Katherine Donavan, who fell and broke her wrist, also a card for Mary Norby, who is now home from the hospital.
Tomarrow, March 1st is the stew feed. Park patio sale this coming Friday.
Mar. 10th is the Luau, Mar. 16th, Happy Hour, doing chicken on the new grill, people are ask to bring a dish to share, and $2.50 pp. Ropa style show is Mar. 18th

David Clement 2nd place in Texas Holdem, Jerry Johnson and Virgil White 4th place in bean bags.
Our meeting was called to order as usual,Dave and Kathy Cochran were our new arrivals,everyone happy to see them and Kathy thanked all who sent her c
ards, called etc. as she had knee surgery. She said we are definitely a Family here at R.V.E.
Irene gave the invocation Helen said there's a card up for the Goodwins as their Grandson died suddenly, they have returned home. I also put up a card for Ruth Bergstedt, her husband died Thursday, he had been in a nursing home for 2 years or so. They lived here last in 2005 at 411 and moved their unit to Llano Grande Lake Park.
Manager Bob said the recycling is not going well, folks putting recyclable items in regular dumsters and many items that are not recyclable in the recycle bins.
The last photo session is this Wed. and Thursday,you receive a free 5 x 7 or 4 x 6 just for having your picture in the directory Will write more later

RVE CLUB MEETING – Judy Nordquist, chair, called meeting to order. We welcomed new residents.
Meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag & singing of God Bless America. Meeting closed with singing of club song. Accompanist – Peg Hayelan Invocation –
John Geer spoke about his 40 yr old cousin, Derek Geer, lost recently in the line of duty. He was a deputy sheriff in Colorado. We joined in praying The Lord’s Prayer to remember him and other officers lost.
Secretary Report – Maxine Topel Treasurer Report – Charlotte Therrien MANAGEMENT REPORT – Manager Bob Davis reported pool repairs on the way, maybe today. He said we’re using a LOT of animal traps & office has checked all out. If you have one & not using it, let him know.
Recycling program has not been going the best.

Properties report was given by Ron Zoeller. Purchased recently were 12 noodles for swimming pool, 1st aid kit in kitchen, electric can opener to replace hand opener. Effective April 1, we need person (s) to handle can crushing & recycling. Ron reported park owner Walter Piper has agreed to pay half cost for the new freezer.

Brock Laing reported this Friday entertainment is Shake, Rattle & Roll, $5 at door. This is music from the 50s & 60s. He noted last week’s entertainers had the “crud”, not feeling well but did not cancel on us. He has some problems with advertising for final program on March 4 & this may cancel.
Park potluck is 5 p.m. before show. 42 attended potluck last week. If you want an interesting Jazz Banjo Band, call Brock. He has phone # for group that will come to your party for “pass the hat”. Brock announced FREE movie this week is a comedy, “Waking Ned Divine”.
Monday night dances are 7:00-9:30 p.m. $5 pp. Thanks to the Barnharts for chairing last week with 73 attending. Come dance to Hitman tonight. Alice Talbert will be celebrating her birthday at tonight’s dance. Bring cups after 3 to reserve your table.
Helen Curtis handles card duties. Call 603-674-3869 if you know of someone needing a card due to illness or death of family member. She places cards in office area for residents to sign every Monday. None this week so all is well, we believe.

Thank you Mary Norby for Chairing the Craft sale this year. Even though the turnout wasn't as big as expected, everyone sold alot of lovely hand crafted items and enjoyied the delicious Sloppy Joes and Home made pies! The folks in the kitchen did a great job

MANAGEMENT REPORT – Manager Bob Davis reported hot tub should be repaired later today. Since Walter did not come last week, we’ll hear from him at another time. Later in meeting we rescinded the motion concern a Gazebo in pool area since there would not be room & still comply with code. Contact office if you need trap for stray animals.

Properties report was given by Ron Zoeller, who told us park owner intends to put something for shade by pool over the summer. Clyde Read mentioned having found 2 American flags in the trash bin. If you have an American flag you need to dispose, take to V.F.W. where they will do this properly. John Geer told us “things are walking off”. Residents are more than welcome to borrow items but need to check these out through a committee person. Board members: Properties – Clyde Read, Dave Cochran (Ron Zoeller, sub), Jerry McIninch; Finance – John Geer, Charlotte Therrien, Daryl Henningsen.
Brock Laing reported 200 attended last Friday’s show. This week come hear Lindley Creek, $7 at the door. Park potluck 5 p.m. prior to show. Concession stand open at program.
free movie Thursday evening is "The Lost Valentine" Brock thanked Paul Sprague who helped with electrical repair due to his dog biting the cord, and to Dave Johnson who brought a film of the 1st Super bowl from 50 years ago.
Monday night dances are 7:00-9:30 p.m. $5 pp. Last week 143 was a houseful. Come dance to Hired Hand tonight. Bring cups after 3 to reserve your table.
Helen Curtis handles card duties. Call 603-674-3869 if you know of someone needing a card due to illness or death of family member. She places cards in office area for residents to sign every Monday.
