April 5th

No news is good news I guess!

Bobby and I provided the donuts yesterday morning. Not many have signed up this year to provide them....Not much going on here, except they are getting ready to do that seal coat on the streets. We had a few sprinkles of rain today and looks like we could get another, atleast the wind died down and it's rather nice.
We had a very nice dinner with Bobby's nephew Donnie and his wife Debbie Cox, they are from Olmito and he grew herbs and sold all over the Valley to nurseries, now retired. We went to Cyro's and ate, it was very good. Debbie and Bob attended also. They brought us fresh tomatos, carrots, & cucumbers out of their garden. We have had Okra, one tomato, and a lot of cherry tomatos, many jalapenos (from one little plant) but really producing, and the flowers doing really good.

If you have any news you would like me to write about don't hesitate to send me an email...also love to get pictures...someone took one of my pictures off of my blog and put it on facebook 😁 Who would do such a thing???I saw several of my old pictures taken some years ago in the new pamphlet for the park, that was evidently just printed.

The new B.B.Q. place getting ready to open May 17th...called Bar B.Q. Cutie right along the frontage road, not far!

They have the usual menu of,Hickory Smoked B.B.Q.pork, turkey, brisket, baby back ribs, and cutie-tizers of Nachos, buffalo wings, white beans and cornbread, chili, & Brunswick stew, Salads, also Dinners! Of Roast turkey with dressing, roast beef, baked ham, chicken fried steak, chopped sirloin w grilled onions & brown gravy........HUNGRY YET?

Anyway, I found the menu on the computer so am pretty sure this is what they offer at all the BarB.Q.Cutie restaurants

Just came from Dairy queen
Have a great week
