RVE CLUB MEETING – Chair Judy Nordquist called meeting to order. We recited “Pledge to the Flag” & sang “God Bless America”. Meeting closed by singing club song.

Board Members -- Properties – George Morgan, Lynn Stamp, Mark Probst; Finance – Vicki Davis, Gordon Amos, Sandy Olson. If you have issues to present, contact any board member. They sit in a group toward the right front of Friendship Hall prior to Monday meeting. New board members Jose Ponce & Janel Baker will replace Mark Probst & Gordon Amos Nov. 1.
Virginia Baker gave Secretary report, approved.
Sandy Olson gave Treasurer’s report, accepted. We voted to give $250 to summer residents for activities. We were told that since finance committee member Vicki Davis is a year-round resident, she will have access to club checkbook in event issues over the summer require monies, example ice machine.
Mark Probst reported for Properties Committee. His pickup is parked on or around his mobile at #54 for those who wish to drop off recycling. He delivers recycling once each week.
TY to Patty Lamp & Phyllis Branstetter who have served coffee & donuts Monday mornings.
After the end of April, residents will meet for
coffee & donuts in pool room on Fridays, 7:30 a.m. See sign up sheet if you wish to donate the donuts.
If you don’t have an RVE name tag, check with Donna Gabbert who makes these. We encourage folks to wear them.
Donna Gabbert puts cards in office area for your signature. If you know of someone needing card due to illness or death in family, call her at 956-968-6684. This week a get well card was up for Janice Williams who had knee surgery.

Vial of Life project will be brought up again this fall. If you completed your medical info sheet, along with putting a copy in your refrigerator, you might wish to put a copy in glove box of your car. Vial of Life sticker should be placed on your front door & on window of your car.
Join us for Chair Zumba, a 17 minute exercise video that will motivate you to achieve your fitness goals. Meet new people at recreation hall, 10 a.m. starting April 11,

Activities that continue include “31” tonight at 6 p.m. in card room; Wednesday Happy Hour 4 p.m. in big hall; TIC Wednesday evenings; Dummy Rummy Saturday mornings; plus other games whenever you choose.

We’ll have a POTLUCK EASTER DINNER AT 12:30 P.M. ON APRIL 17. This is a change in time previously announced and will allow residents to attend church. There is a signup sheet. Bring your own table service, water will be provided. Round tables are being set up.

A family of moles awakens from hibernation. The father mole pokes his head out of the hole & says, “I smell tulips, it must be spring.”
The mother mole pokes her head out of the hole & says, “I smell cherry blossoms it must be spring.”
The baby mole is trying to squeeze out of the hole between his parents but gets stuck & says, “All I smell is molasses.”
RVE Peachy Picnic in Cobden, IL is Aug. 11-14. This is during the Peach Festival and many are planning to head to Illinois for a fun time. Planning this with the Cochrans are Catherine Gibbs, Carleen Basler, Judy DeKoning.
