UPCOMING ACTIVITIES & EVENTS
Are you sorting through your valuable items?  Get busy .. PATIO SALE is this Friday, Dec. 1.  That's when you put items in your front yard & sell them for fabulous prices so you will have $$$$$ for Christmas shopping.  Leave yourself time or have someone help you in your patio so you can walk or drive around the park & purchase items you cannot live without!
Have you tried singing Karaoke?  Join friends the 1st Sunday every month at Bev/Del Telfor's #208 back patio, 4 p.m.  You can sing or listen!  Join the fun next Sunday, Dec. 3!
Joyce Amos invites RVE ladies to a Wine & Cheese Party in Friendship Hall Thursday, Dec. 7, 3 p.m.  Bring a bottle of your favorite wine or non-alcoholic beverage & a wine glass in a bag to exchange, cost is $3 pp.  All ladies should plan to attend!  It's so much fun!
RVE men will be interested in the Dec. 14 get together also chaired by Joyce.  Men should bring a cocktail glass in gift bag to exchange & drink of choice.  Cost is $3 pp.

LOOKING AHEAD TO 2018
Remember the FUN we had when Dana & Craig Daves planned the cruise at SPI last season?  Well, they are at it again!  Dana has checked into going on a bus tour to the King Ranch & Museum.  January 23 has been finalized as  tour date, $69 pp.  55 people are needed to fill the bus which will leave RVE 8-8:30 a.m., return about 6 p.m.  Cost includes lunch.  If time permits a stop will be at seller's market & saddle ranch.   See sign up sheet.
We discussed RVE doing a park pictorial directory.  Donna Gabbert will take appointments for Jan. 11, 12 & 13....needing 100 settings. There are no picture pkgs. offered. A portrait CD is the best way to go!  It is $25, directory is $15.  You may take the CD to Walmart, Walgreens, or download it on your computer to print out all the pictures you want.  There is NO free photo for participating or free directory with purchase order.
If you wish to purchase pictures from Created Images, there's a $20.00 service fee, but the pictures are so inexpensive so dont let that scare you off, For example a 8x10 is $3.00, 5x7's are $1.50 each and 4x6 is $.75. You will pay no more than that $44.00 pkg. that they offered 2 years ago.
We thank Mary Norby at #179 for continuing to chair our Craft Sale.  Date is Feb. 8.  Our craft sale is the ONLY one in The Valley that insists only handmade items may be sold!  Pass the word .. vendors are needed.
Safety & Godspeed to Robert & Mary Norby's son who is being deployed to the Middle East.
Janean Geer at #10 showed a quilt she made after going to Quilt Show at Llano Grande last season.  It is a “mystery quilt” & Janean has pattern.  If interested, contact her.  She would give a class.  Cost would be $5 for the pattern.
John Geer at #10 helped with Senior Olympics last season.  He announced a “no” vote of 12-3 at the committee meeting.  This means no Senior Olympics in The Valley this season.

“Don't  let anyone tell you that fairy tales aren't real.
I wake up every morning to drink a potion made from
magic beans that brings me back to life.”
