RVE CLUB MEETING – Chair Craig Daves called meeting to order.  We recited “Pledge to the Flag” & sang “God Bless America”.  Meeting closed by singing club song, ”We Love Our Valley Home”.

   MANAGEMENT REPORT – Asst. manager Ken Barnhart did not have anything to report this morning.  When asked date electric meters are read, he said as close to first of month as possible.  Website for park is riovalleyestates.com  
    Donna Gabbert keeps us informed with a blog.  Find it at www.donnasramblingsatrve.blogspot.com.
   Club website by Judi DeKoning is RVEWTC.com .. for “members only”, the password is riovalley.
   Treasurer Jim Moeller's report was approved.  Properties committee member Larry Pavlis said we have acquired some boxes of wine in kitchen refrigerator.  If “yours”,  please claim as space is needed.  We voted to purchase a gas grill , with limit of $400 cost. to replace OLD charcoal grills that are falling apart.  Board Members--  Properties – Ron Zoeller, Jerry McAninch, Larry Pavlis;  Finance – Sandy Novak, Sally Hejlik, Jim Moeller.
   Helen Curtis asks we call her, 603-674-3869, if we know of someone needing card due to illness/death in family.  You will find cards to sign in office area. If you call Helen & leave message, leave name.  She will not return your call if she doesn't know who left message.  Cards up this week included Tom Cassidy, hospital with pneumonia and now home; Carroll/Carol Jones, her brother died; Alvin/Sharon Johnson, chemo/radiation & complications.  Helen announced Marie McClurg passed away today.
   Entertainment chair Brock Laing said “the Devil is happy, had to lower temp .. as Hell would have to freeze over if Vikings won.”  Aw, shame on you, Brock!  A crowd came to hear Bill Chrastil  last week. He accredited our steady attendance to advertising in news media plus our park is FRIENDLY to the many who join us from outside RVE.  Brock commented how blessed we are to have club board & meetings.  In most parks management sets up activities.  We have volunteers.  A thank you to the crew who help with set up each week.  This Friday, Jul & The Chrome Wheel will entertain, $6 pp. This is a “beach band”, husband/wife duo, that plays a variety you'll enjoy.  We have 50-50 draw, popcorn, pop, ice cream.  The  Showcase they attended last Thursday was fabulous.  Some great acts are booked for 2019, some require contracts, most will be $7 or $8 pp. 
   Bruce & Billie Wells host Friday Night Potluck at 5 p.m. prior to  entertainment.  Bring dish to share & table service.
  Come dance tonight, 7-9:30, to Country Roland Jr.  Craig /Dana Daves chair.  Most dances are $6 pp.  TY from Craig to all who have helped since his back surgery.  Much work goes into seeing the floor is ready .. “we have the best cement dance floor in the Valley!”
  No FREE movie this Thursday due to Sock Hop set up.
  Al/Jewel Kruckman & committee serve Saturday January pancake breakfasts, 7-8:30 a.m.   Bring your table service, NOT paper plates. 
Biscuits & gravy will be served during February by club board.
   Nomination of officers for Feb./ March: chair Craig Daves, vice chair Sharon Sprague.  No other nominations, elected unanimously.
  Does anyone know what happened to the coffee pot top in game room?  It's missing.

   Dave Johnson is working on new park directories, needs changes/additions by Jan. 24, will sell at Feb. 5th meeting. 
  Activity Calendars for the season are posted.  Let Judi DeKoning #67 know of additions or changes.  Let our club secretary or Judi know if you wish a 2019 date on the calendar.  It's 1st come 1st serve.
   Notify news editor Mary Lou #103 if aware of changes in chairpersons/times of activities...written notes please. 
   Park Breakfast is enjoyed at Fiesta Tex-Mex on Thursdays, 8 a.m.  All are welcome.
  No Bean Bag or Happy Hour this Wednesday due to set up for Sock Hop.

   For ladies making the Mystery Quilt (or wish to make one) group meets every Thursday, 9 a.m. with Janean Geer teaching.
    We thank Beverly Telfor & Darlene Bryant who have volunteered as librarians.  A librarian from Knapp Hosp.  is helping organize library which will be re-vamped this summer.  If you wish to take some books home, feel free to do so.  Many women's crisis centers appreciate these.  If you have books you would donate, these are welcome.

   King Ranch tour is tomorrow, Jan. 23.  Bus is filled.  Plan to be in Friendship Hall between 7 & 7:15 as bus will leave at 7:30 a.m.  Need a front seat?, let Dana at #234 know.  Dress in layers as supposed to be nice day but will be cool
