Today is our first coffee and donut Friday, or as Darlene puts it coffee and conversation for those who don't eat donuts but still come to have coffee and visit. We get to share things happening around the park and any news from folks up North. One bit of news this morning was there are 5 big dogs coming in the park at night, they killed a black tamed cat Wed. night and last night another tamed cat a gold and white one. We need some help with this.
There are cards up we are signing, one to Ken and Sue Barnhart, Ken's Brother passed away, also one for Marlene Prohaska, surgery.
I have a picture of men tearing up and getting rid of old concrete, I believe it's lot 23. Bill Jones will have a new Park Model moved in on that spot
The new concrete pad was poured right a way and I think the new park model coming in this coming week.
I see the maintenance men are painting numbers on the curbs, some have faded or worn away pretty bad. Bobby used to do that job, so we know how difficult it is, as some of the curbs are real bumpy and hard to get the numbers to look right, the smooth curbs are easier to paint on.
We had a good rain last week but the last few days were hot and dry and windy so we dry out fast. Yards looking pretty and green! Oh, my jaapeno, cilanro, and herbs plants are flourishing and I have seen some lucky folks are getting nice tomatos on their plants, we have no luck with tomatos for some reason, so I didnt bother planting any this year. the pecan tree is leafing out, hoping fro a crop this year.
Sure wished we could attend Rollo and Arlene Fishers 60th Anniversary in Albia, Iowa. We will be in Nevada then. Here's their address if you wish to send a card, 303 3rd Ave.E , Albia,Ia. 52531, you probably will need to call them if planning to attend as they're having drinks and Dinner at the Albia Country Club.
Well, that's all I can think of right now. Until next week, bye ya'll
