I hope it's finally warming up where you all are!!!
We had some Summer like weather the last few days, humid and high temps, it finally rained during the night last night, it did hold off until after our Friday donuts this morning. but now sprinkling some as I write this. A cold front coming in tomarrow, with highs close to 76 or so. Sunday only 20% chance of rain and highs 84, which will be very nice.
Al and Dolores Mason provided the donuts this morning.
Not much going on and no cards up for us to sign.
Yesterday Tom Benson and I wore our Stacy Strong t-shirts, Mary Lou up North with Stacy, the last of her treatments. Tom and Mary Lou's Daughter has been going through Chemo and to celebrate her last day of chemo everyone was to wear their t-shirts.We watched on Facebook as she came out from the last treatment, and rang the"Bell" signifying her last treatment. There must have been 25 relatives and friends there to celebrate with her and all applauded when she came out and rang that bell, it was very moving. I understand Mayo and M.D. Anderson were first to offer the Bell ringing, a symbol of hope and strength. And many other hospitals have it now too. I read the inscription on the plaque at M.D. Anderson...don't know what the plaque reads at other treatment centers...
Ring this bell
Three times well
It's toll to clearly say
My treatments done
This course is run
And I am on my way
Stacy and Family
