RVE CLUB MEETING – Chair Judy Nordquist called meeting to order. We recited “Pledge to the Flag” & sang “God Bless America”. Meeting closed by singing club song. Accompanist – Cathy Probst

Invocation – Steve St. Clair – “Kindness Matters”

Secretary – Virginia Baker

Treasurer – Vicki Davis, sub

Welcome to these newcomers to our park .. the Dillons (#231) and the Reingls (#175). Both formerly lived at Zapata.

Managers’ Report – None today. Website for park is riovalleyestates.com

Note from Chairperson:

“We continue to have issues with keys for cupboards, kitchen area, etc. EVERYONE who has any keys is asked to turn them over to board before heading north this spring. We will have a locksmith rekey every lock. Only 1 key will be needed for ALL of kitchen. Each board member will receive a complete set of keys. Chairpersons can sign out a set on Monday prior to an event; then will return the set on following Monday.”

Virginia Baker gave Secretary report. It was approved.

Sandy Olson gave Treasurer’s report, accepted.

Mark Probst reported for Properties. He has a BIG load of recyclables which will be delivered tomorrow. Maxine Topel thanked the person who had donated Red Devil vacuum cleaner. It now needs filters & is taped to keep it running. She priced a new Sharp vacuum cleaner which including filters would cost $260. We voted to purchase this.

Chair Judy gave a history of vacuum cleaners in the park, used by volunteers (we thank them!). She said the carpet in card room is to be replaced with vinyl & the new Sharp vacuum should work ok on that.

TY to Patty Lamp & Phyllis Branstetter who served coffee & donuts today. There is a signup sheet if you wish to provide donuts in honor of a special occasion. Give your name to Sandy Olson & your name will be announced. If no one signs up, club pays the $30 cost. Bring donuts by 8:15 a.m.

Today Dave & Kathy Cochran provided donuts in honor of their son Chad’s 50th birthday. Thanks to them. Chad says, “I’ll join you all in 10 years when I turn 60!”

If you don’t have an RVE name tag, check with Donna Gabbert who makes these. We encourage folks to wear them.
